These shows were held in August 2019 and October 2019 respectively. We attended both shows.

Our last visit to the Getaway Show was probably 5-6 years ago.

The 4x4 Show at Zwartkops is held next to the racetrack and to cover the whole site walking, is quite strenuous on your legs. What we saw was that there is a huge interest in the outdoor lifestyle. We were there on the Saturday and even at 12 noon when we were leaving there were still cars coming in.

.There are a lot of newcomers in the off-road caravan/trailer scene but the promotion of 4x4 motorhomes seems lacking in both these shows.

At both shows the costs of buying any 4x4's or its equipment are very high.

The Getaway Show which was held at the Dome in Northgate is quite compact and there were ample places to sit down and rest. This is something the organizers of shows and expos should consider - providing more seating and rest areas for visitors, especially for the very young ones and the older folks.

The Camp and Destination Show in February 2019 held at Gallagher Estate in February 2019 give me more value for my money and it seemed that more launches of new products were done there. There were a couple of 4x4 motorhomes on display at this show.
